Admission Requirements

 In our country, it is required to be successful in the examination conducted by the Student Selection and Placement Center (SSPC) for entry into universities. Students send their preferred forms to the Student Selection and Placement Centercan editing the preferencesenter according to their score taken from the examination. SSPC receives all references, groups them according to the type of application points groups, sorts the scores from highest to lowest, lists all the existing programs according to the preferred type of score and the students are place to one of their preferred programs. Selection of foreign students entering universities in our country is carried out through the Foreign Student Examination (YOS) within a certain quota. Documents required for registration; 1 - High school diploma or equivalent education, 2 - Result document of the placement exam conducted by SSPC.

 Graduate students of this programme may apply to study in undergraduate programmes under specified conditions.

Graduation Requirements

 In order successfully complete the program, it is mandatory to pass all of the courses available in the program (120 ECTS),with a score of at least 2.0 on a 4.00 weighted GPA and to complete a 30-day compulsory student internship.

Qualification Req. and Regulations

 Graduates of the programme can find employment in tourist accomodation companies, travel agencies and tour operators, airway companies, companies that provides guidence service, tourist information centers, related departments of the companies that are located in touristic places.

Assessment and Grading

 Each student has to register for courses within the pre- determined dates specified in the academic calendar and join the courses with a percentage of at least %70 and %80 for practices in order to take the final exams. Students subjected to at least 1 midterm and final and a make-up exam for each course. Final score is calculated through the contribution of the midterm exams with a weight of 40% and 60% for the final exam. All the exams are evaluated out of 100 points. Students who receive a letter grade of (AA), (BA), (BB), (CB) and (CC) from a course are considered to be successful.

Program Profile

 Tourism and hotel management programme aims to train students as middle and high level managers who have adequate ability, information, experience and job culture that are needed in the sector. Associate degree in the tourism and hotel management programme is for two years.

Qualification Requirements

Tourizm and Hotel Management Program offers a two-year training after high school education. Students are selected from vocational high school graduates without examination, and also with the Undergraduate Placement Exam (LYS) conducted bythe Student Selection and Placement Center (SSPC). An approximate of 40 students are accepted to the program each year. Students must take and pass all compulsory courses. Meanwhile, it is required for graduation from the program that they successfully complete all the courses available in the program (a total of 120 ECTS credits), theavailable in the program (a total of 120 ECTS credits), therequired internship by 30 working days and to have a GPA of at least 2.00 out of 4.00.
